Somewhere in the American high desert — all red dust, trailers and flickering CRTs — the impossible has become ordinary. Vast alien freighters hang over the mesas. Grounded starships are unloaded by creatures no human has ever laid eyes on. And in the middle of all of it wanders Andy: a South London lad, entirely unmoved, searching the cosmos for one thing only — his mum. While the universe unfolds its wonders behind him, he's asking a nine-foot alien dock-worker if it's seen a woman about yay high with a big perm and her carrier bags. He never gets an answer. So he plants his feet, tips his head back, and calls out for her — into a sky that never calls back. After Andy is a deadpan comedy about the smallest man alive standing at the centre of the biggest world imaginable, told in perfect bite-sized pieces — and the funny, quietly aching truth underneath it: that no marvel in the universe can compete with wanting to go home.
